　　对软凝聚态物质，纳米材料和复杂生物系统进行计算机模拟来获得基于统计物理的定量的理解，为新材料的设计和制备提供理论基础和可能的途径，具体方面如下:
　　1. 软凝聚态物质中的自组织过程和相变
　　2. 界面物理以及界面自由能的计算
　　3. 生物大分子模拟，蛋白质粗化模型及多肽链自组织
　　4. 新型结构的纳米材料和生物材料
　　5. 衬底表面性质对分子自组装的影响和作用
　　6. 发展对大尺寸系统模拟效率更高的算法
